Dr. Hwang is a Seattle-area native growing up in the neighborhood of Ballard and is a graduate of the University of Washington where he earned a BS in biology (physiology) and a BS in microbiology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.
Dr. Hwang is a current member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Washington State Dental Assocation (WSDA), and the Seattle King County Dental Society (SKCDS). Dr Hwang serves as a member of the ADA Advisory Circle and has been voted among “Top Dentists” as seen in Seattle Met Magazine for 2018.
Dr. Hwang and his wife Ivana, a practicing veterinarian, moved back to the Pacific Northwest because he loves the state of Washington and wanted to be closer to family and friends. Dr. Hwang enjoys music and the arts and actively participates in a local community orchestra. At other times, he can be found exploring the outdoors through hiking, fishing, and golf.
Dr. Hwang has a strong commitment to his patients and his community. He often spends his days away from the clinic with the various community clinics of King County and Snohomish County, and is a annual volunteer for the Seattle/King County Clinic held at the KeyArena. Kathy has worked in the dental field as an Office Manager/Front Desk Coordinator for more than 25 years. She enjoys helping patients with their insurance and financial questions. She finds satisfaction when she's able to help a patient get the treatment that they need.
Kathy was born in Regensburg, Germany, but has lived in the Pacific Northwest the majority of her life. She loves spending time with her husband, 3 dogs, and 7 grandchildren. She also enjoys doing Crossfit.
Susie has over 30 years experience working as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from the University of Washington dental hygiene program. She enjoys educating patients about their dental health and providing personalized care to each individual.
Susie has lived in the Northwest for most of her life. Away from work, she enjoys gardening and traveling with her husband.
Kathy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 25 years. She earned her Dental Hygiene Degree at Shoreline Community College after attending the University of Washington for her prerequisites to the program. Kathy particularly enjoys meeting new patients and having the opportunity to help others become healthier and more educated about their dental health. She feels rewarded as a dental hygienist when she is able to see her patients return with healthy teeth and gums.
Kathy and her husband, Rick, have two daughters and they live in Everett, near the Silver Lake area. Activities Kathy enjoy outside of work include camping, vacationing with her family, and home remodeling.
Shannon has worked in Dental field for 3 years. Her favorite part about assisting is helping patients feel comfortable while providing them with the best dental care possible. She finds helping patients maintain their health very gratifying. Her goal is to make each appointment as comfortable and efficient as possible.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, running and being with close family and friends. She also enjoys the arts with a history of winning singing competitions, illustrating parts of the body for medical journals, and writing and recording songs.
