Dr. Hwang is a Seattle-area native growing up in the neighborhood of Ballard and is a graduate of the University of Washington where he earned a dual degree BS in biology (physiology) and a BS in microbiology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.
Dr. Hwang is a current member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Washington State Dental Assocation (WSDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the Seattle King County Dental Society (SKCDS). Dr Hwang serves as a member of the ADA Advisory Circle and has been voted among “Top Dentists” as seen in Seattle Met Magazine for 2018.
Dr. Hwang and his wife Ivana, a practicing veterinarian, moved back to the Pacific Northwest because he loves the state of Washington and wanted to be closer to family and friends. Dr. Hwang enjoys music and the arts and actively participates in a local community orchestra. At other times, he can be found exploring the outdoors through fishing and golf.
Dr. Hwang has a strong commitment to his patients and his community. He often spends his days away from the clinic with the various community clinics of King County and Snohomish County, and is a annual volunteer for the Seattle/King County Clinic held at the KeyArena. Dr. Hwang looks forward to meeting you and taking care of your dental needs!
